Tennessee truck driver found dead in vehicle at LaPlace Home Depot, sheriff says

JOHN THE BAPTIST PARISH, La. — A 53-year-old truck driver from Tennessee was found dead Thursday inside his vehicle in the parking lot of the Home Depot in LaPlace, according to the St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff's Office. Deputies were called to conduct a welfare check by his employer around 8:40 a.m. when the company could not get in contact with him. A company representative told the sheriff's office that the driver mentioned he was "not feeling well" on Wednesday and stopped to rest. The driver was found unresponsive inside the truck and was later pronounced dead.
