'They messed us up': Family of Gaffney High School shooting victim responds to arrests

Friday morning, as the memorial grows for 17-year-old Jomiltron Fair Jr., his family is responding to the arrests of three teenagers charged and/or in custody in connection to the Gaffney High School senior's shooting death Wednesday morning. Fair was shot and killed at the Granard Courts Apartments on West Rutledge Ave. as he was about to enter a bus on the way to school. "We are his voice now, all of us, my daughter, you know, his uncles, his mom, sisters and brothers, we are speaking for him now," Fair's grandmother Tangie Roseboro said. Friday afternoon, a Gaffney judge denied bond for 18-year-old Keveon Covington. Authorities arrested him late Thursday afternoon in a rural area of Cherokee County after an hourslong manhunt. He faces charges of murder and possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a violent crime.
