Third arrest made in Crown Heights hookah lounge mass shooting, NYPD says

Police arrested a third person in connection with a mass shooting that took place at a hookah lounge in Crown Heights last year. The NYPD said it arrested Haile Cummings, 34, on Monday evening. The Brooklyn man is now facing a murder charge. Police previously arrested Timothy Spence, 21, and Elijah Roy, 25, for their alleged involvement in the mass shooting in August 2025. Spence was arrested on an attempted murder charge and Roy was arrested on a murder charge, according to the NYPD.
