Tracy police arrest suspect after being told man shot himself

(FOX40.COM) — A Manteca man was arrested and charged with involuntary manslaughter in connection with a deadly shooting in Tracy after officers were mistakenly told the shooting was self-inflicted, officials said. On Saturday, an officer with the Tracy Police Department was dispatched around 9:11 p.m. to an apartment in the 2800 block of North Tracy Boulevard. Officers soon learned that a 24-year-old man had been shot and taken by friends to Sutter Tracy Community Hospital, where he later died, Tracy police said. Officers were initially informed that the shooting was self-inflicted, but after investigating further, they identified 25-year-old Aaron Ramos of Manteca as the alleged shooter.
