A construction trailer that became detached from a vehicle caused a crash involving two vehicles on US-131 in Clam Lake Township, Michigan State Police said. Troopers from the Michigan State Police Cadillac Post said they responded at about 9:40 p.m. on Friday (Aug. 28) to the crash north of the Cadillac rest area. Officials said an unknown vehicle failed to secure a liquid tar construction trailer properly. Police said the trailer became detached and was left in the middle of a travel lane on US-131.
