ROWLETT, Texas — A train derailment in Rowlett is forcing road closures on Wednesday, Sept. Rowlett police announced the closures on social media, asking drivers to avoid the area. Five train cars derailed on Wednesday near Dalrock Road and Chiesa Road. Police said both northbound and southbound Dalrock Road are closed between Chiesa Road and Sunrise Drive. Southbound traffic is being diverted at Sunrise Drive, and northbound traffic is being diverted at Chiesa Road.
