Trump honors Hispanic Americans, touts Latino support at White House celebration

komonews.com reports: President Donald Trump honored Hispanic Americans as champions of “faith, family, and our God-given freedoms” during a White House Hispanic Heritage Month celebration Wednesday. “We honor the countless Hispanic American patriots throughout our history who have been among the greatest champions of faith, family, and our God-given freedoms,” Trump said. The remarks expanded on a White House message issued earlier this month, in which Trump said Hispanic Americans have “shaped the fabric of our culture” and strengthened the country’s institutions.
