Two 13-year-old girls riding together on an electric scooter were killed in a crash with a pickup truck in the intersection of Banbury Drive and Heritage Parkway. Emergency personnel responded to the scene just after 1 p.m. on Wednesday, but the girls had died from their injuries. Preliminary information indicated that the pickup truck towing a trailer was traveling south on Banbury Drive. The two girls on the scooter were traveling west on Heritage Parkway at the same time. They collided in the intersection.
