Two dead, one injured in Western Kentucky shooting, abduction and police car chase

Two people have died, including a woman who was abducted by her estranged husband, after a car chase and police shooting in Western Kentucky, state police said. The Ohio County Sheriff’s Office responded to a welfare check involving a possible domestic violence threat in Whitesville on Wednesday. Deputies made contact with Tracy Pearce, 37, at her mother’s house on New Cut Road in Ohio County around 4:30 p.m. Pearce told deputies she was OK, and did not anticipate any issues with her estranged husband, Jonathon Severs, 30, of Owensboro, Kentucky State Police said. Police had received a call that Severs was a threat to himself and was armed, WBKO reported.
