SAN CARLOS – A freeway shooting left two people injured early Sunday evening in San Carlos, authorities said. The shooting happened around 5 p.m. on northbound Highway 101, south of Holly Street, according to the California Highway Patrol. Authorities said the victims reported hearing three to four gunshots from behind their car. The driver, a 25-year-old man, immediately pulled onto the right shoulder of the Holly Street off-ramp and discovered his car had been hit four times, authorities said. The shooting sent his passengers – a 22-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy – to an area hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening, authorities said.
