(WBTV) - Two people were shot and killed early Sunday morning in University City area, police said. Officers were called to Kittansett Drive around 3 a.m. 13, where they found one person suffering from gunshot wounds. A second gunshot victim, who police later identified as 22-year-old Jacori Mitchell, was found less than a mile away near a Cook Out restaurant on North Tryon Street, Both died from their injuries on the scene, medics said. Police identified 21-year-old Evin Quarles as a suspect in relation to the first victim.
