Kansas City, Missouri, police officers have a person in custody after finding a man and a woman shot Saturday morning. A spokesperson for the Kansas City Police Department said officers were sent to 54th Street and Michigan Avenue around 3:30 a.m. The neighborhood is between The Paseo and Highway 71. Officers found a man and a woman in the street, both with gunshot wounds. Kansas City Fire Department medics arrived with KCPD officers and tried to save the lives of the two people who had been shot.
