The Arkansas State Police is investigating after two people were injured in a shooting in Cotton Plant on Monday, authorities said. The Cotton Plant Police Department and Woodruff County sheriff's office responded Monday to a shooting at a home on Conley Drive, according to a Wednesday news release from Arkansas State Police. Officers found a Little Rock woman, 19, at the front door of the home with a gunshot wound to the thigh. She was taken to Unity Health in Searcy, the release said. Officers also found a 20-year-old man from Horn Lake, Miss. at the front door of a separate residence.
