A University of North Carolina football player has been suspended following a traffic stop during which he was arrested on a weapons charge, the university said Thursday. Carolina Football has suspended freshman wide receiver Keeyun Chapman. He was a passenger in a black 2024 Cadillac Escalade that was stopped Tuesday for speeding in Chapel Hill. Freshman wide receiver C.J. Sadler was the driver of the car that was stopped on Northfield Drive at 10:08 p.m. for going “60-65 mph in a posted 35 mph,” according to a police report.
