UPDATE: Local 3 has learned that both occupants of Sunday's small plane crash in Dawsonville, GA are said to be doing well and should be released from hospital care soon. Family members say they will need some time but are expected to make full recoveries, according to Dawson County Fire & Emergency Service. Both people in the plane were deemed to be critically injured in the crash when the Piper PA-32-300 Cherokee Six crashed into the woods east of a private airfield. PREVIOUS STORY: A flight out of Chattanooga crashed in Dawsonville, GA, on Sunday, leaving two occupants critically injured. Around noon, deputies with the Dawson County Sheriff’s Office and personnel with Dawson County Emergency Services were dispatched to a wooded area east of the airport, near Georgia SR-183 in Dawson County, after a report of a possible downed aircraft.
