Venezuelan man shot by Border Patrol pleads guilty to damaging government vehicle

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – The man accused of damaging a government vehicle before he was shot by Border Patrol agents in the parking lot of a Portland area hospital has pleaded guilty, the Oregon U.S. District Court announced Tuesday. Luis Nino-Moncada, 33, of Venezuela accepted a plea agreement Monday for the depredation of government property. He faces a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison, a $250,000 fine, and one year of supervised release.
