Video: Lebanon police release body camera footage from plane crash near elementary school

The Lebanon Police Department released body-worn camera and dash camera video showing an officer’s response after a small plane made an emergency landing near Byars Dowdy Elementary School earlier this month. The plane crashed near an elementary school and playground — no injuries were reported. Investigators are still investigating the cause of the emergency landing. In the newly released video, the pilot told an officer the plane’s engine “cut out.” The aircraft made the emergency landing shortly after taking off from Lebanon Municipal Airport.
