Video shows man running toward Phoenix officers before deadly shooting
PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Newly released body camera video shows what led up to a deadly police-involved shooting in Phoenix nearly two weeks ago. Phoenix police say 20-year-old Jonathan Marquez Delgado was armed with a knife and running at officers when he was shot and killed . Warning: Graphic content - discretion advised The situation began around 11 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 6, when police responded to reports that a man was trying to hurt himself in the area of 18th Avenue and Cheryl Drive , just south of Peoria Avenue. The first officer arrived and spoke with one of Delgado’s family members while waiting for backup.
