Chesterfield County Police have a suspect in custody charged with the early morning shooting Saturday, Aug. 15 on the campus of Virginia State University. In an evening statement Aug. 15, police said 19-year-old Camron Harris of Henrico County was found hiding in a closet inside VSU's Seward Hall, a dormitory within walking distance of the place where the shooting took place in Ettrick. He was captured around 4 p.m., about 14 1/2 hours after the incident, and is being held without bond at the Chesterfield County Jail.
