TOPEKA (KSNT) — As the U.S.-Iran War rages on, Kansas veterans are taking a stand and are sending a message to President Donald Trump to end the months-long conflict. "Veterans for Peace," a military advocacy organization, hosted a protest in Topeka on Tuesday, July 28. Their goal is to send a message to federal leaders about the harm that's being done as a result of hostilities between the U.S. and Iran. "The administration wants to pay for this illegal war?. Why can't we have that money to help care for the veterans who are currently needing it," said Andy Morrison, founder of the Veterans for Peace Topeka Chapter. Their primary concern is a lack of staffing at Veterans Affairs (VA) Hospitals.
