The 62-year-old pilot of a single-engine aircraft was killed in a crash Tuesday in DeKalb County, Alabama , according to the county emergency management office and local and federal officials. "The City of Albertville is gut-wrenchingly saddened by the unexpected and tragic loss of our friend, Doug Emge," a city of Albertville statement posted on the city's social media page said. "For more than 30 years, Doug was the face of Albertville Regional Airport through his company, Albertville Aviation, which he founded and solely owned." Emge was the airport's fixed-base operator, providing aviation services to pilots and aviation businesses, officials said. (.
