Wildfire risk in California could lead to power outages for thousands of residents

A mother of nine and her newborn son died days apart this week after she was struck by a vehicle during a morning walk in Utah. KSL , a Salt Lake City television station, said Rebecca Hafen, 34, was walking around 7:55 a.m. Tuesday in Manti, Utah, when she was hit by a vehicle. The driver reportedly had trouble seeing her because of the sun. The Utah Highway Patrol said Hafen was taken to a hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.
