Winston-Salem fans pack brewery for Panthers season kickoff

NFL and Carolina Panthers mania has officially hit the Triad, as fans in Winston-Salem celebrate the long-awaited return of football season. Cheers erupted for good plays and the start of the season. "In between seasons it’s always a long, long, long time," football fan Bill Mabe said. But for these fans, the payoff is worth it. "It’s almost like Christmas, I mean you’re waiting so long for something and there’s so much anticipation. It just feels like so long before that first game starts," fan Michael Kimel said. At Fiddlin’ Fish Brewing Company in Winston-Salem, football enthusiasts gathered to enjoy the action. "Yeah, we have other sports, but I don’t know, it never feels the same as, you know, football season," fan Evan Hatch said.
