Updated: September 9, 2026 @ 9:00 pm A woman has been charged with murder after stabbing a man in the neck at an apartment complex near Fred Smith Airport, court documents show. Iesha Thomas was arrested and charged with second-degree murder Wednesday. Memphis Police said officers arrived to W Red Oaks Dr around 1:22 Tuesday morning, where they found a man who'd been stabbed, whom court documents identify as Cameron Young. According to the affidavit, Young had been stabbed in his neck and shoulder, and told police he'd been stabbed by a 6'3" man in a red shirt and black pants at a gas station. Court records show that Young was taken to the hospital, where he later died.

According to the affidavit, the officers knocked on the door several times, then found it unlocked, and went inside to see if anyone else had been injured; they found more blood on the living room floor and leading into the back bedrooms.
