ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Florida Highway Patrol troopers are investigating a deadly crash that happened Sunday morning in Orange County. A 44-year-old Lakeland woman died and a 9-year-old girl was seriously injured when their car crashed into a concrete barrier and caught fire on Interstate 4 around 7:45 a.m. The fatal crash occurred at the I-4 eastbound exit ramp to Daryl Carter Parkway at mile marker 70. The driver was transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. The 9-year-old passenger was taken to Arnold Palmer Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
