A woman was found dead in a Northwest Portland apartment Wednesday afternoon. Police officers and a Portland Fire & Rescue team had responded to reports of a possible assault in the 600 block of Northwest 18th Avenue just after 12:30 p.m., the Portland Police Bureau said in a statement.The woman was discovered in an apartment. The suspect or suspects appeared to have fled before officers arrived, police said. No arrests have been made. The identity of the woman has not been released.
