Woman hospitalized after being shot while walking along North Philly sidewalk

A woman walking with a friend through North Philly overnight was shot twice after hearing the sound of gunfire, police said. According to police, an investigation is underway after a woman was struck by gunfire while walking along the 800 block of Reno Place in North Philadelphia at about 3:41 a.m. on Sunday. Police said the victim suffered a gunshot wound to her chest and a graze wound to her neck.
