A woman was hospitalized with burn injuries and a dog was killed after a fire ignited in a home in Sandy. Firefighters responded to reports of a house fire just before 8:25 a.m. Saturday, finding smoke and flames coming from the home, according to officials with the Sandy City Fire Department. One resident was inside when the fire ignited and was able to escape. However, she was burned across the right side of her body and transported to a hospital for treatment.
