HIGHLAND COUNTY, Ohio (WXIX) - A woman is dead and two others were injured, including a toddler, after a horse and buggy was hit from behind on a Highland County highway, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol. The crash happened just after 8:30 a.m. Route 50 near Route 753 in Paint Township. Troopers said a GMC Sonoma struck the carriage from behind as it headed southwest on Route 50. The carriage was operated by Melinda Coblentz, 49, of Greenfield, who died at the scene.
