Two separate crashes on the West Side and South Side overnight Friday left two men dead in San Antonio. At around 8:30 p.m. Friday, a driver was going north in the southbound lanes of the 5200 block of Roosevelt Avenue near Loop 410. When he started to approach another driver heading south, they both tried to switch lanes to avoid each other. But they ended up crashing into each other head-on.

The man driving the wrong way, 63-year-old Luis Martinez, died at a hospital several hours later, according to a preliminary San Antonio police report.
