DURHAM, N.C. (WNCN) — A young girl is dead after a shooting in Durham on Tuesday night. According to the Durham Police Department, officers responded to a call about a gunshot wound in the 700 block of North Duke Street just before 7p.m. Police said it was reported that two kids were playing with a gun when it "accidentally discharged." A young girl was found with a fatal gunshot wound when police arrived. Police said the incident is isolated and the investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
